Amy Cooper, Firefighter at Doncaster Fire Station

I decided that I wanted to join the fire service because I love working with people and I enjoy being active. 

I joined SYFR in March last year, after being a primary teacher for 14 years.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time looking after my three boys. The shift pattern, where we work two days, two nights and then have four days off, means that I get to see them much more than I would in most other jobs.
