Kirsty Ferguson, On-Call Firefighter

I had wanted to become a firefighter for such a long time. Before joining SYFR I had been in the army for four years. It’s fair to say public service was always a big passion! 

I joined the fire service in January 2018 and it was the best feeling in the world, especially after all the hard work I had put in to get to that point.  

When I’m not working in the fire service, I like to go to the gym and go on long adventures and discover new places. At home, I like to spend time with my nine year old daughter making slime.
