During the pandemic I worked from home and noticed so many people doing amazing things for society in an extreme time of need. I didn’t quite feel I was doing my part.

I did my research and was lucky enough to see a vacancy to join SYFR in Fire Control come up, taking emergency calls from the public and mobilising our firefighters to wherever they are needed. I joined in May 2021 and I’ve never looked back since.

No two days are the same. There’s an element of excitement and adrenaline within every shift I do. My favourite part of my job is to be there for people in times of need whether a job is big or small, I get to play a part in someone's life.
